Hello, Madi! :) So sorry for the delay.
I've always loved stories. I was actually very slow to pick up reading when I was in the first grade, until a teacher figured out that I could learn much better if she had me write my own little stapled-together books. If you're looking for an origin point, I'd have to point you there. But the desire to write when I was older... that actually came from a love of reading. Starting in the 5th grade, I read voraciously--mostly as a way to escape from a very difficult and awkward time at school. By 6th grade I'd written my first book all in pencil in a spiral bound notebook. (It was terrible, but it was a start!) From there on, I never really stopped writing.

So looking forward to adding this book to my reading list for Feb. In regards to the second book, will this be the last in the series, or can we expect a trilogy or more? I love reading all sorts of genres and this book particularly jumped out as offers something a little different than the other books in the genre at the moment I believe. And many of my friends have suggested it to be a great read.
