I have really enjoyed your Blue Heron series. When you started the series, did you have a certain number of books in mind, and therefore have the set number of couple characters established? The first time Connor's character was introduce, did you know he would have his own story? Do find writing a male pov main character a challenge?

Kristan Higgins I thought there'd be three Blue Heron books: Faith, Honor and Jack. Never planned on writing Colleen and Connor a book apiece. For Levi, the POV was a little challenging, because he's such an alpha male and also such a genuine guy, you know? I wanted him to feel like a real veteran, a real cop and a neurotic big brother all at the same time. But otherwise, no, the male POV wasn't too hard.
