Goodreads asked Geetha Krishnan:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Geetha Krishnan Read a lot. Read good books. And write about what gives you joy. Writing should be a pleasure, not a chore. If you don't enjoy writing it, chances are, your readers won't enjoy reading it either. You should also keep at it. There are some days when you may not feel like putting pen to paper. But don't give up on your ideas or your writing because of a few bad days. Most importantly, get some people to read your draft and be open to suggestions and constructive criticism. But you should also be aware of the difference between baseless criticism and constructive criticism. Ignore the former and embrace the latter.
