I read A Dog's Purpose the summer before we had to put our 14-year-old Basset-Shepherd mix Bessie to sleep on September 16, 2010. That summer I knew the time was coming and your book helped prepare and comfort me. I also loved The Dog Master. I can imagine a young human falling in love with and adopting a wolf puppy! How can we encourage your publisher to let you write a sequel?

Hi Jo! Sorry, I didn't know this question was lurking here. I am sorry to hear about Bessie. I've had to do that same thing before, way too many times. As to encouraging the publisher, I would LOVE that. Here's a contact page: http://us.macmillan.com/torforge/abou.... There's no good email, but a letter or a phone call would blow them away. You could call and ask for whoever handles Bruce Cameron--thus, I didn't direct you as to whom to call. Very nice of you to consider this! We're trying to get Dog Master made as a movie, if that happens, there will be, for sure, two more!

This may be a huge question but...Can you write about a german shepherd who had lost her leg after being abused and ended out in the streets...then in the home of a child whom was adopted because the child went through abuse too? That would like be me and my dog from when i was 14, her name was Honey..I had rescued her but she died of cancer this year.

Hey Bruce, I have seen your books made into movies and absolutley loved them, i have a few of your books but not sure what order to read them in or if they are standalone, I own A dogs purpose, A dogs way home, A dogs courage and A dogs perfect christmas. If i was to read A dogs purpose first then a dogs way home, then dogs courage would that be the right order? Thanks :)
