Hi Shannon! I just finished your book and it was shocking and I did get a little emotional with the ending ;) I have 2 questions. Throughout this book what were you trying to tell your readers? What is the theme? Also, what is the most important scene is this book to you? What scene was really important for the story and text?

Shannon Messenger Hmm, my answer to these questions is probably going to be very boring. But the thing is, I don't like to tell my readers what themes I'm exploring in the book or what I hope the book might be telling them. Because that sort of negates the whole purpose of it being a book. Books are for readers to take what THEY want to take from the story and to see what matters to THEM. So obviously there are things I'm exploring. But that doesn't mean that's what a reader will take from the book, and I don't want to interfere with that magical process. As for important scenes, I can't really answer without giving a spoiler, because all the important scenes are also huge turning points. So all I can really say is it was a scene in a place with the characters and stuff happened. :)
