The original idea for The Forbidden Library came from thinking about mentors and teachers. The teacher character (someone like Dumbledore from Harry Potter, say) is always a good guy, and the main character can always trust them to do what's right in the end, even if the way they do it is kind of mysterious and weird, and they don't tell you everything right away. I want to write a story where the main character couldn't trust that guy, where you don't know if he's a good guy or not. Geryon teaches Alice, but whether he really wants to help her is still unknown!

Hello, I must say the shadow campaign series is really good military fiction and I enjoy them immensly. AS with most series that I enjoy alot I buy the books in several formats. However I cant seem to buy your audiobook formats anywhere. did you not give the audiobook publisher worldwide rights? Or something? What can I do? I tried to contact them directly and didnt get a straight answer. Nicolai Norway

I found your books browsing my library shelves. I loved reading The Thousand Names and the Shadow Throne. I get the feeling reading your books that you're a fan of P.G. Wodehouse and Terry Pratchett. Am I wrong? I couldn't help but picture Jeeves when you were describing Fitz. :)
