I can't wait to read the book, but I noticed that it's the second book in your Twelve Realms series. It sounds like it can be read separately to the first book, but I just wanted to check and see if that was in fact the case? Thanks

I'm soooo excited you got a copy of the book. It can totally be read by itself. They are written as standalone stories, but everything makes a little more sense if you read them in order.
