Scorpio-of-Autumn
Scorpio-of-Autumn asked Nenia Campbell:

How are you able to read so many books and find the time to write? Doesn't reading so much sap your creative energy? That's why I'm so slow to finish a book, personally. Yet, I would like to start reading more, so any advice? How do you do it?

Nenia Campbell Reading doesn't sap my creative energy at all. In fact, a good book is sometimes what it takes to inspire me when I'm feeling completely worthless about myself and my ability to write. Stephen King actually has a great quote in his memoir/writing guide where he says that if an author can't make time to read, they shouldn't bother writing books at all, because the two are a cyclic process that should compliment and redefine one another. Finding time can be tricky, but I just keep a book in my purse and read it whenever opportunity presents itself. I read on buses, trains, waiting rooms, in movie theaters before the movie starts, before bed, before work, on break, on lunch, and sometimes - even in the bathroom!
