To be a writer you must write. If it's really something you aspire to be, then begin writing right now, and discover what lives within you through the craft. Don't beat yourself up about your first, second, third or fourth draft. Embrace that you can always polish your work, or have someone help you learn to polish it better. Nothing is perfect, but perfection is never a requirement to be a writer.
