By having a writing routine. I sit down and make myself write. Something always comes, if only from boredom. There are good writing days and bad ones but every day has to be a writing day. I haven't written properly for a while as have been busy with Valentina. Being busy helps - if you know you only have a short window in which to write, you have to do it then or lose your chance.
