Hi Dana!
Thanks so much, it’s lovely to hear that you love my work! My new novel is out on Netgalley right now and publishes Dec 4th. It is called THE LIES WE HIDE. It is a change in genre to family drama and I hope you love it as much as the others! Cheers xx

(view spoiler)[Hi Denise. In the car accident, when Toni lost her husband, Toni was badly injured. It’s why Bridget had to move in, why they had to move to a ground floor flat and why she could no longer be a nurse. I left it until the end because I didn’t want her to be defined by her disability but it does explain why she reacts in the way that she does and why she often feels powerless. If you read closet you will see that in scena after the accident she never walks and her daughter quite often sits on her lap. She keeps her wheelchair in the passenger seat. Thanks for reading! A friend was about to interview a very successful businessman whose success story was less interesting than his childhood circumstances...

Off hand comments caused the spark for my last two books (the one before Valentina is not published) - it's amazing how that can happen. You start writing something along those lines, it gets longer, like a scarf, row by row.

Another novel. I'm interested in good people who are pushed to do something they know is wrong...

Write without putting pressure on yourself to be any good. Do courses which give you writing challenges and feedback. Keep writing, write as you would practice a musical instrument: every day, not to belong to the National orchestra in six months' time, but to be just a tiny bit better.

Being able to fit what I do around the demands of my family and my teaching.
That, the connection with other writers and readers and the sneaky afternoon nap.

By having a writing routine. I sit down and make myself write. Something always comes, if only from boredom. There are good writing days and bad ones but every day has to be a writing day. I haven't written properly for a while as have been busy with Valentina. Being busy helps - if you know you only have a short window in which to write, you have to do it then or lose your chance.
