The idea for Thorn Jack originally came from the ballad Tam Lin. The second inspiration, later on, was a book written in the 1920s called Visions and Beliefs in the West of Ireland, a collection of fairy folklore and reports by Lady Gregory and W.B. Yeats.

HI Katherine! I just finished up Briar Queen, and with that ending I have to assume that there will be a 3rd book in this series. What with the almost revelations about a certain flighty character, and a promise of someone being saved! Assuming there will be a 3rd book (PLEASE!), will that be the final book in the series, or are you planning more?
