Have you ever been writing a scene and felt that it would be greatly enhanced if the reader was listening to a certain song at the time? If so, any particular scenes and songs as an example? Big fan of your SF work, it's been a great inspiration to me!

Well, I can't listen to anything and read (or write) at the same time, so no. That said, music has occasionally been an inspiration or aid to my imagination. While I was writing The Sharing Knife, the songs of Dave Carter and Tracy Grammer were a boost.
Other things at random. Since my kids moved out, I've not been as much exposed to new music, so I'm rather out of touch. I don't drive enough to get much in the car, either. (Also the hearing loss in my right ear combined with the road noise (combined, not infrequently, with unclear recordings or delivery of lyrics) makes it an aggravating frustration to even try.)

Have you ever thought Shards & Barrayar emphasized the relationship between person and environment that brought out different versions of each? I feel VSaga is artwork, allowing interpretations within a framework of open mindedness. Mile’s stories had a drum beat of excitement that didn’t let go even when I put down the book. You inspired me to write my own novel, and I can’t thank you enough.
