What advice do you have for aspiring authors?

Nancy Jane Keep writing. Every chance you get. Sometimes write for yourself, sometimes write for others. Don't get hampered by 'convention' and write with your own voice. Sometimes we get blocked by 'rules' when really we should use words and punctuation as oil paints, spreading and blending them in a way that tells our story in our true voice.
