What inspired you to become a writer and what continues to inspire you today?

Brenda Novak Hi Jen! I never thought I'd be a write. I caught my daycare provider drugging my children with cough syrup while I worked as a loan officer. Once I found the medicine in my baby's bottle and realized what'd been going on, I quit my job to stay home with them. I couldn't trust anyone to take proper care of them after that, but I needed to help make a living. So one day I was reading a great book and, when I finished, I remember closing it and thinking, "I wonder if I could do this?" Fortunately, it turned out that I could. I love what I do. :)

How many Whiskey Creek books are you planning? Is #10 in the works? I hope we get to see Joe (Gail's Brother) find his HEA. I started at book one a couple weeks ago and am on book 8 :)

Are they pulled from people you know, movies/books, the news? Your characters are so well-defined in your books that I have often wondered this while reading them.
