Trevor Scott You don't have to read the Jake Adams Series in order, but some of the books have a certain timeline that might work better if read in order. However, if a reader wanted to jump into the series with more recent titles, you could start with Counter Caliphate, move on to Gates of Dawn and come up to date with Counter Terror. For an interesting background on Jake Adams, you might also consider reading the three short stories that show Jake in the CIA during the Cold War.
