I know that you have been re-issuing your Kate Shugak backlist in e-book format. Have you been able to or are considering offering print-on-demand? I spend all day in front of a computer screen, as I'm sure many other avid readers do, so at the end of the day I would rather avoid reading from a screen. Just a thought...

It's a thought I've had as well, Stacey, but re-releasing the books in POD won't generate enough income to justify the expense. The sales numbers just aren't there. There is also the matter of rights, in that I hold the rights to only the first nine Kates.
Update September 2018: Hi, again, Stacey. Some good news for you and for others who would rather not read on screens--Head of Zeus, my British publisher, will begin distributing the first nine Kate Shugak novels in paperback in North America sometime during the next year. Stay tuned via stabenow.com, I'll let everyone know when it happens.

I’m glad Kate will continue and that Mutt is back! I’m the type of person who hates it when the dog dies! My question is: How do you keep the past history of your characters straight (ie: whom is related to whom, who’s died, etc.) in your story lines, especially in a series like Kate Shugak?
