Hello, Cornelia. I was wondering about the Reckless series and the re-release of the first book. Is Petrified Flesh the same as the first Reckless book that was released in America, just with more bonus materials added? Also, how do you feel about the upcoming film Moana?

Cornelia Funke Not bonus materials, Hannah, but a fresh view at the book, after I have been traveling with Jacob and Fox for eight years now. I had to revise lots of dialogue, especially between the two of them, and I know so much more about Will by now. I revised why he can't remember when he has a skin of jade. I realized it was the Fairy's doing, not the stone. So....the plot didn't change much, just in small beats - I erased the love motive between Clara and Jacob as it didn't ring true anymore - but you'll find the characters closer to where they are in Book 2 and 3.
