I can't help to stop thinking that you were a lot influenced by the "Sharpe Series" from Bernard Cornwell while writing your Shadow Campaigns. Am I right? I am a huge fan of Mr. Cornwell books as I am also a fan of Fantasy authors. Your mix, or fusion, of both is extremely pleasant and made the series one of my preferred for this past two years. Django Wexler Hmm, less than you might think! I've read a couple of the Sharpe books and enjoyed them, but my reading tends more toward fantasy and non-fiction than historical fiction. I think what it really is is that we both draw from a lot of the same non-fiction sources, which obviously creates some similar influences.

Hi there Django. I was wondering if you had any film recommendations thematically similar to your Shadow Campaign books? I've been thinking of some of the colonial films like The Patriot, Last of the Mohicans or Glory, and some of the older stuff like The Charge of the Light Brigade, Waterloo, Lawrence of Arabia or Zulu. Anything more obscure that inspired you? Keep up the good work!
