How do you get inspired to write?

Michael Finkel The world is an amazing place -- heartbreaking, joyous, tragic, wondrous. All of that at once. There are billions of stories to tell. I've been fortunate that inspiration seems to come at me from so many places that motivation has never been a problem. The real difficulty for me isn't finding inspiration, it's harnessing that inspiration and creating something well written.
