Oh, my God, ME TOO! I love Seattle! The city that smell so GOOD! Plus, I love to eat out, so...
The best ever chocolate chip cookies (ahem):
2.5 cups of flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
(mix and set aside)
2 sticks butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons real vanilla extract (none of this fake stuff, now)
1 tablespoon warm water
Blend; add dry ingredients. Mix in 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1 cup peanut butter chips or toffee bits, or 2 cup chocolate chips.
Warning: raw dough tastes delicious. Don't let the kids see you eating it.

I read Catch of the Day a few months ago, and just recently finished The Next Best Thing. Here on Goodreads, they're tagged as the first two books of the Gideon's Cove series. Having read the blurb for the third book, Somebody to Love, my question is, how are Catch of the Day and The Next Best Thing related at all?
