Jan Porter Harold and Maude are the most intriguing and unlikely example of a nontraditional couple love affair. It has been said by many spiritual philosophers that love and companionship, or soul mates, come in many different forms. These two are definitely a step out of the Hollywood ideal box of romance norms. I like characters that the quirky aspects of my own being can relate to.
