I'm reading Someone Else's Love Story right now. How do you get your characters to evoke so much emotion when you are writing? I feel so close to each one like I know them.

Thanks Geraldine -- I am glad you have this experience! I know my characters all very, very well, so that only a tiny fraction of what I know makes it into the novel. It is my hope that those deeply imagined histories and personalities shine through the parts that do make it to the page. It is my goal, and it is very heartening to hear that from your perspective, this is happening.

OMG - i just finished the almost sisters - i have to say that it surprised me, right till the end! you never disappoint! thank you for sharing your talents with us!! what i'd like to ask is are you a comic book/graphic novel affitionado or did you have to learn all about it to write this? i listened (i ALWAYS listen!) and i tend to think of you, personally, as the main character, since you narrate!
