Okay, does anyone else think that Kate will wind up being "the Champion?" I'm to the point where I would probably bet my hypothetical first born child that she is... and all the predictions by the characters that it is Vincent just seems to emphasize the point that it won't be.

If she isn't our Champion, anyone else want to gamble that she will wind up having some unique, deus-ex-machina ability that will wind up saving the day?

I love this series. It's different and so much fun... especially some of the characters (yes, I'm talking about you, Jules). But this Champion business seems a bit obvious to me.

Anyone else have thoughts?
Yay or nay?

Youre totally right!! Shes the champion!!!

i think she is "the Champion"!!!

and I think Vincent knew that!!

Yes, I think so too!

yep! she's got the communication skills cause she is fluent in 2 languages, and before any of y'all start telling me than vincent was fluent in like 5 languages b4 he died, have any of the other revenants tried talking to her when they were volant? no. they assumed it was because of their relationship and relied on the others to communicate. also, she's got natural talent for fighting, another quality of the Champion, plus a whole lot of other things that i can't remember at the moment. DUH!

It's obvious Kates the champion.

I NEED THIS BOOK

yes she is the champion
but the idea is that she got the confidence in herself to be one and faced her fears
often we think that we are nobodies even though we have the tools to be somebodies
kate found that push to make her the one :)

I think that this is how things are going to go:
We are all going to think that Kate is the champion and Amy Plum will have us right where she wants us and then in the final moments BOOM! turns out Vincent was the champion and she breaks our hearts and crushes our souls. Because that's how Authors do their readers.

ugh screw it I take back the earlier comment,I am on the "it's Kate" train now.

I haven't read book 3, May is my busiest month of the year, but yes, I do believe Kate is the Champion.

ABsolutely!! I mean, when she could hear Vincent and see auras, it was kind of obvious.

Uh, duh! She is totally the champion, I mean, she has to be! It's so obvious anyways. Bran keeps squinting at her and I think everyone here knows why...
