Scrapple sounds both potentially delicious (if spam is good, scrapple must be even better) and awful.

I think I've had scrapple. It wasn't in PA but it was on the Jersey shore, where lots of Pennsylvanians vacation. They serve it with breakfast and it's pretty tasty. Then again, I like liverwurst and butterkase.

Chili cheese fries ARE disgusting, as is any type of deep fried foodstuff on a stick. I also nominate poutine. Ick.

Gravy fries are a favorite dish (not mine) to get from coney island restaurants up north.

I find tea the disgusting drink. The smell of it makes me nauseas.

Were they Chicken in a Biscuit? Those are the only chicken flavored crackers I remember ever trying when I was young.

Gladys Knight's restaurant in ATL is known for a waffle and chicken dish.

Chicken and waffles does not sound appetizing at all. Patatje joppie on the other hand, is pretty delicious.



Spicy reggae chicken was this year's winner.

Great fried chicken is amazing. A nice fluffy waffle is delicious. It's not like they are blended together, just next to each other on the plate, at least in Atlanta.

Janine's chip bags have better flair than the US chip bags.

It's not like meat and sweet don't belong together; a stack of pancakes with maple syrup, and either link or patty sausage on the side, is an ass kickin breakfast. But there's just something about fried chicken....that doesn't seem to go that well. With a waffle.

Also it might be delicious on the plate, but it does not belong in a CHIP. What a desecration. It's like, would you buy chicken and waffle flavored salad dressing? No, you wouldn't. If you had all your faculties.

I hardly have all my faculties but I would not buy a chicken and waffle flavored dressing.

Chicken and waffles are amazing. There's a restaurant in midtown that I love that makes awesome chicken and waffles with tabasco maple syrup. I need to find these chips and try them.

I'm intrigued by the Sriracha flavor too. I think these need to be in my life.

I put this down to the weird confusion Americans have between desserts and mains.

OMG. Yum. Tabasco and maple sounds like a combination from heaven. Next time I'm visiting my brother in Brooklyn, we'll go eat chicken and waffles, Riona. I think we'd have fun.

Fried mac n cheese balls. Literally, balls of mac n cheese, breaded, then fried. I don't understand thinking that would be a tasty idea.

They sounds similar to fried risotto balls. They are usually dusted in Panko and fried and they are divine. I ate them in Italy. Pretty much everything I ate there was drool-inducing. Plus most of the waiters were easy on the eyes. Sigh.

Risotto balls are good. Risotto balls in Italy, I cannot even imagine.

Never had scotch eggs but our local Chip Shop makes them.

Yes! The place with the tabasco maple chicken and waffles also has frozen cosmopolitans. It's my favorite happy hour place in Hell's Kitchen.

Other weird-sounding but delicious junk food? Fried pickles. Preferably when they come with some spicy dipping sauce.

I'd definitely eat risotto balls before mac and cheese balls.

I haven't had them. They look delicious.
