All Our Yesterdays
question
The question that haunts me

To go along with my previous post entitled, "How is Finn still Alive???", I understand now that future James shot young Finn, and young James shot future James so it resolved to young Finn being with young Em in the end. I want to know is: Who shot young James??? I tried re-reading the ending but I'm still confused.

James originally built the time machine to save his brother.
Which he does.
But then his brother starts to interfere with his plains.
So he then kill his brother.
Which then makes him finally figure out the formula to time travel.
Finn+Em go back in time to stop the time machine from being built.
James sees that the only way to spot them from foiling his plan is to kill them before they see what a psycho he is.
So he goes back to kill them.
Well at the cabin, he kills young Finn (and future Finn, because you have to have a past to have a future(slightly confusing timey wimey stuff)).
Young James sees this, and is told the whole truth about what he does by Em.
Young James then see that the only way to fix thing is by killing himself.
Which he doss.
This then whips out the future James as well because if there was no young James, there could be no future James.
With future James gone, young Finn can not be shot by him.
History now goes like this:
James goes to cabin, and commits suicide.
Everyone finally sees what was psycho James was.
Finn the idiot holds Ems hand at funeral.
Ems sees that he might not be such an idiot after all.
Wow, that was a little long, but this was a awesome book, so it totally deserves it!!!
Hope this clears thing up if you were still in doubt.

Domenic, I think I get what you're saying. Since Em is one version of future-Marina, her memories wouldn't be in Marina's head, but in whatever versio
