Hi, Denny! Great idea, thank you for posting!
I live in a relatively small town of roughly 22,000, in Washington state. We're known as the Pacific-Northwest.

It's great, mild weather (rarely dips below freezing) and beautiful scenery. Mountains and the ocean plus lots of local lakes all within an hours drive. I left once when I was young and wont do it again.

We once took a little trip up to B.C. for half a day, and I absolutely loved it! I'd definitely go back someday. I wish we could have made a weekend of it, or something..

You call that a small town? The town where I grew up has a population of 800. Just about everyone is on welfare and a lot of people are unemployed. The only interesting things that happen there are the county fair, a hot rod show, and the fact that people have the tendency to drive through the front wall of the Dollar General.
I still work in that town, but I currently live in a much larger (population 5,000) town to the south.

LOL JS!!!

I live in Ohio, and I honestly have no idea how they manage to drive through the front (brick) wall of that building because the sidewalk out front is about 8 inches off the ground and should be a decent block for runaway vehicles. I don't know if alcohol is a factor or not!

Well, it's small compared to Seattle or Spokane. That's what I meant.:)

I live in Howell, NJ...and it makes me nuts when people think everyone who lives in the state is exactly like the idiots on that show.

Yeah, fuck that show. I want all those people to get Leprosy.
So, Howell, huh? We should get together sometime and talk about books. LOL.

Sure...what kind of books do you like? I'd love to start a book club IRL. We could be the first members.

Well I like horror, mostly stuff about vampires, werewolves and zombies. Are you serious about starting a book club? Cause I would love to do that here on GR, I say let's do it. Message me and we'll talk about it. ;)

That's awesome, Janie! Have you ever spent some time there, visiting the infamous Book Depository? The Grassy knoll?

That's awesome that you've visited so much, Janie, with many more to go.:) I'll bet your 11/22/63 reading will be incredibly surreal!

And our chili kicks butt. The two primary brands are Skyline and Gold Star. You can put it on hot dogs or spaghetti noodles, or you can make Skyline dip by spreading a package of cream cheese in the bottom of a glass baking dish, pouring a can of chili over it, and topping it with shredded cheese. You put it in the oven until the cheese melts on top and then you eat it with tortilla chips.
I've just made myself hungry.
