Austenesque Lovers TBR Pile Reading Challenge 2015 discussion

If you are willing to place one of your August reading choices in the hands of another person, just leave a comment here with at least five books and no more than ten from your TBR shelf. Participants need to leave comments no later than Monday, July 27th.

Here's how it will work:
Sophia will match people up and leave a comment with a list of who will choose for whom.
When you see the person you are to pick for, then just look at their list in the above comments and leave a new comment with their name and the book you chose for them by Saturday, August 1st.
You also need to watch and see what book your person chose from your list for you.
You have the rest of the month to read the book.

Oh noes....I'm not worthy to pick one for the beloved Moderator! I haven't read any of the ten you posted, so there's goes the easy way out. There were three that I'm torn between but.....I just love love love Georgiana Darcy coming of age stories. I have just started Shannon Winslow's new one "Miss Georgiana Darcy of Pemberley"....so

It is a clean read as are all her books but she does such a good job with new angles. Love the scenes when Lizzie walks into Netherfield to visit her sick sister. Enjoy.

(I would have gone with any of the first three but this is a favorite of mine.)

I read the reviews by Meredith, Ceri and Sophia and read that they liked it. A little high priced for a kindle book. I may re-join kindle unlimited for this as just buying this equals my monthly subscription.

Now that method of choice appears sound to me, Kirk. I practically do 'eenie meenie minie moe' when I pick so no judgment here. :)

I loved Nancy's first story in the series so I'm sure Georgiana's story will be a delight. Thanks!

Hi, Kim, I’m sooo sorry! I seem to have fallen off this threads and wasn’t receiving posts. Finally said to myself, “What ever happened to the August Someone Else Picks? It’s not like Sophia to drop the ball. . .”

Anyway, I’ve heard great things about The Darcys of Pemberley by Shannon Winslow, so I’ll pick that for you.

And Shannon: thank you so much for picking the delightfully titled Mary Bennet and the Bloomsbury Coven for me! I have already bought it, so it will be very convenient.

And last, Sophia: thank you for posting on my lonely blog about The Watsons! I tried to reply, but once again the reply field is not appearing at the bottom of the page, just as happened with your last blog. Who knows if I am right about JA giving up because the plot wouldn’t work, but can you imagine Mr. Howard being able to marry Emma Watson when his patron, Lord Osborne, wanted to marry her as well? And when he already has five dependents (his widowed sister and her four children)? At a minimum, Mrs. Blake would have to be married off; and then he’d need to find another living.

I get how you feel about her work--every word feels so perfect, and that perfection seems effortless. But her manuscripts tell a different story: she slogged and polished like the rest of us! Just to better ultimate effect, sigh.

I don't have a strong analytical mind so I was very taken with your The Watsons incompleteness theory. Bummer about the comments section going wonky.

BTW - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009 is a link to the Outlander 7 book series its on sale from $49.99 down to $1.99. that's quite a big drop. A friend on Amazon just gave me a tip which she said came from a friend on Goodreads but I didn't see it.
