I read Stolen Lives years ago. It was so sad but so compelling!

It was & it's really good! If you do choose this one, I hope you like it as much as I did!

Deep End of the Ocean. It was her first book for the book club.

Love in the Time of Cholera - such a beautiful read. One of my favourite books of all time.

This may be the simplest challenge yet, because the list is finite and there is no ambiguity about whether a book fits the category!
Two of the titles that I've been wanting to read for a while are The Bluest Eye and Sula, both by Toni Morrison.

I've read so many of these! I have to say: Fall on Your Knees was one of my favorites. Highly recommend.

No it's not an Oprah Book Club Selection. The complete list is here: https://static.oprah.com/images/o2/20...

I read this a few years ago and I LOVED it!

This is what I'm hoping to do...It's been in my TBR pile for some time, so I am glad to have an extra nudge to dive into it!

Behold the Dreamers was great - and I highly recommend the audio.

Poisonwood Bible and House of Sand and Fog are also very good.
By luck, my first book of the year was Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail, which I loved and belatedly remembered was an Oprah book.

I absolutely hated love in the time of cholera

I've read both of these! I cannot recommend them enough!

Yikes... it might be One Hundred Years of Solitude, after reading all these "hated"s combined with a few reviews of Love in the Time of Cholera. Thanks, all!

Off the top of my head I would note The Road (a western and classic of genre fiction) and A Fine Balance (Brics and post colonial), The Measure of a Man (celebrity memoir) I am sure there are tons of others.
