Amanda Albright | 14 comments Soooo, I'm behind on my challenge & I'd like to catch up as much as I can for my pride's sake.
I know it's silly, but it helps me keep going and puts a smile on my face.

So, has anyone seen a list of how long the books are? Or can you remember ones you have read that were quick and painless?

Not silly at all! Whatever works for you, Amanda.

As you know, page counts vary according to format and edition, but I've listed all of the Great American Read books under 250 pages, referring to my GAR shelf here on GoodReads. I hope you find this compilation helpful:

The Little Prince—96 pp.
The Notebook*—113 pp.
The Great Gatsby—148 pp.
The Outsiders—156 pp.
Siddhartha—160 pp.
And Then There Were None—180 pp.
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe*—189 pp.
Ghost*—191 pp.
Charlotte's Web—192 pp.
Hatchet*—192 pp.
The Giver*—192 pp.
The Sirens of Titan—200 pp.
A Separate Peace—204 pp.
The Alchemist—208 pp.
Where the Red Fern Grows—212 pp.
Things Fall Apart*—224 pp.
Bless Me, Ultima—227 pp.
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time—240 pp.
Left Behind*—243 pp.

*First book in a series.

I'll second the recommendations for The Little Prince and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Both are great books that can be read in one day, easily.

Amanda Albright | 14 comments I want to thank you so much! Sorry for the delay. I did not see a notification that anyone had commented. I was a unsure how to make a bookshelf?

I missed Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, because my copy includes the second book in the series, Through the Looking Glass. It's 510 pages.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll

I enjoyed both books, and like Loretta and Andrew, I recommend them as well.

You're most welcome, Amanda!

I'm looking forward to seeing your bookshelf!

Cindy (wanna_read_all_the_books) | 6 comments If you are still looking for quick reads, I recommend the whole The Giver series. They are all pretty short and fast reads and they are incredible reads.

Amanda Albright | 14 comments I didn’t know The Giver (The Giver, #1) by Lois Lowry was a series! Awesome.
