Our Next Series Read: 2015

Thanks for weighing in, Elizabeth. ☺

Somehow, I've been missing the announcements on this thread! I'm going to nominate Lucky Harbor, starting with Simply Irresistible, as I'm needing some extra motivation to actually read the series!
As for what is already nominated, I'd be interested in the Black Knights series for certain, but I'd avoid the Weather Wardens. After book 3-4, the series took a downturn for me. I haven't heard of the other series though!

1. Moonlight by Nancy Gideon
2. World of the Lupi by Eileen Wilks
3. Black Nights Inc. by Julie Ann Walker

1. Black Knights Inc., by Julie Ann Walker
2. Magnus Pack, by Shelly Laurenston
3. Thunder Point, by Robyn Carr

1) Moonlight, by Nancy Gideon
2) Dirk and Steele by Marjorie Liu (Hi-five Trea)
3) Thunder Point, by Robyn Carr

Please put your desired series to read in order! We'll go by points and they will be "weighted" by order, with first carrying the most "weight." Eight points for the book you post first, 7 points for the next, etc.
I've put the spreadsheet with voting tally so far is HERE! But, I'll be glad to change, add or subtract things. Just let me know.

1. World of the Lupi, by Eileen Wilks
2. Moonlight, by Nancy Gideon
3. Weather Warden, by Rachel Caine

1. Black Knights, Inc
2. Lucky Harbor
3. Dirk and Steele
4. Thunder Point
5. World of the Lupi
6. Moonlight
7. Magnus Pack
8. Weather Warden

Sorry, babe. You got it now... and then some. ;o)

I actually agree with the idea, Winter. I'm in a couple of Christian Fiction groups that do a group read of a book that the members nominate monthly. Now, most of these books have discussion questions, and yet we never discuss the books in depth! All most folks do is their impressions of the book, more so than anything else. I've gotten spoiled by a buddy read of the I-Team and Dream Man series that I've done in the past. My partners in that post as they go as to what they're thinking about the books. I'm not asking that we do discussion questions on the series reads like I've seen happen in this group in the past, but I would like to see us do a discussion like what I've done on the I-Team/Dream Man books.

Can we have more than one series win?

Can we have more than one series win?"
I understood that we are going with the top two. Is that right, Elf?

Yup! Top two for sure. And maybe the third one alternating every other month? What do you think of that?

Ooh, I like that idea!

Can we have more than one series win?"
*grins* I knew you'd get what I meant, Ezi! Like I said, those series reads we did have really set the bar for me in group reads!

Yes, for the first few books that I read. I found it similar to Gin Blanco type of romance. It is by no means the main focus of the story, which (to me, at least) is a hallmark of the UF genre.

2. Dirk and Steele by Marjorie Liu
3. Thunder Point, by Robyn Carr
4. Magnus Pack by Shelly Laurenston
5. Weather Warden by Rachel Caine
6. Black Knights, Inc
7. Lucky Harbor by Jill Shalvis (been reading recently)
8. World of the Lupi by Eileen Wilks (only because I've been reading them this month)
Books mentioned in this topic
Masked by Moonlight (other topics)The Wanderer (other topics)
Simply Irresistible (other topics)
Is there a series you would like to read or re-read with other members of "Romance Lovers for the Challenge-Impaired" group?
Tell us your suggestions, certainly something you would read yourself. There will NOT be a poll for the general public, only those of you responding in this thread. One or two series will be chosen for our next series read. We will be reading one book from that series each month starting in January.
It may be from any genre, with three or more published books.
FYI: We Mods decided, due to lack of interest, not to continue the two Series Reads: Highland Guard and The De Piaget & The MacLeods.
