Our Next Series Read

Is there a series you would like to read or re-read with other members of "Romance Lovers for the Challenge-Impaired" group?

Tell us your suggestions, certainly something you would read yourself. There will NOT be a poll for the general public, only those of you responding in this thread. One or two series will be chosen for our next series read. We will be reading one book from that series each month starting in January.

It may be from any genre, with three or more published books.

FYI: We Mods decided, due to lack of interest, not to continue the two Series Reads: Highland Guard and The De Piaget & The MacLeods.

Nominations
Black Knights Inc., by Julie Ann Walker
Lucky Harbor, by Jill Shalvis
Magnus Pack, by Shelly Laurenston
Moonlight, by Nancy Gideon
Thunder Point, by Robyn Carr
Weather Warden, by Rachel Caine
World of the Lupi, by Eileen Wilks
Dirk & Steele, by Marjorie M. Liu

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I'm interested in Moonlight, and Thunder Point, and I'd be willing to try Weather Warden... might be more fun with as a "buddy read." Of course, they all would.

⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) (Edited to change nomination!)
Somehow, I've been missing the announcements on this thread! I'm going to nominate Lucky Harbor, starting with Simply Irresistible, as I'm needing some extra motivation to actually read the series!

As for what is already nominated, I'd be interested in the Black Knights series for certain, but I'd avoid the Weather Wardens. After book 3-4, the series took a downturn for me. I haven't heard of the other series though!

Lauren (laurenjberman) Do we just put down our choices in order of preference? If so, mine are:

1. Moonlight by Nancy Gideon

Series Read 2015<br /> Voting!

Please put your desired series to read in order! We'll go by points and they will be "weighted" by order, with first carrying the most "weight." Eight points for the book you post first, 7 points for the next, etc.

I've put the spreadsheet with voting tally so far is HERE! But, I'll be glad to change, add or subtract things. Just let me know.

Phoenix (Online Elf) | 4358 comments FYI, how do you all feel about dropping a series if there has been no activity in the thread after two or three months? More activity than just, "Hey, I thought it was great." Then we go to the next one on the list.

I actually agree with the idea, Winter. I'm in a couple of Christian Fiction groups that do a group read of a book that the members nominate monthly. Now, most of these books have discussion questions, and yet we never discuss the books in depth! All most folks do is their impressions of the book, more so than anything else. I've gotten spoiled by a buddy read of the I-Team and Dream Man series that I've done in the past. My partners in that post as they go as to what they're thinking about the books. I'm not asking that we do discussion questions on the series reads like I've seen happen in this group in the past, but I would like to see us do a discussion like what I've done on the I-Team/Dream Man books.

Yes, for the first few books that I read. I found it similar to Gin Blanco type of romance. It is by no means the main focus of the story, which (to me, at least) is a hallmark of the UF genre.
