01/01/21 - 07/06/21
Aside from Bingo this is probably one of my favourite challenges each year. The idea of setting a goal of exactly which books to read and then sticking to it really appeals to me.
(and yes, I've had these titles planned for a while)
1899 and earlier/Old School
1900-1999/New School
My Wild Card Six
Alternates

01/01/21 - 27/09/21
I love the idea of this challenge. I often vote for books that do not win. For this challenge I decided the that it would have to be a female author and if possible also 'non-white'.
As Bob suggested I've chosen for each category. Also, since it may be possible that some of these books actually win a pole before the end of 2021, I've included an alternate choice for each category (except Long Read).

Yes, very nice. I have thought about reading Winston Churchill before. I think that would be interesting. Good luck with your challenges.

I love that you have turned your century challenge into a Pulitzer challenge as well. I really should do that and help myself with progress on the Pulitzers. Happy reading, Julie.

Your century Pulitzer challenge has 5 of my favorites on it. I think I have His Family on one of mine for this year.

But updating today I can tell that I'm very well on the way to finishing my challenges by the end of the year. This is what I still have to do:
Titles: Q, V, X, Y (have 3 of 4 of these planned)
Authors: U, Y (have both of these planned)
One book to go for my pulitzer challenge (Ironweed)
One book to go for my nobel laureate challenge (Winston Churchill)
Wow, Julie, you have really put away some superb reading this year! Finishing is going to be a breeze for you. Congrats.
