I am only a tween and I was wondering if I should read the gathering or any of Kelley's other books. I read the Darkest Powers trilogy and LOVED IT, but that was a YA novel and I was wondering if I should read the rest of her books and if they are appropriate. I want to find out what happens in the rest of her books and I love her writing and characters. please help me.

I enjoyed the darkest powers trilogy as well, but I cannot finish the first book of 'women of the otherworld' series. It's just so painfully slow, and depending on how old you are, whether you're on the older or younger end of the teen years, the sex scenes might be inappropriate for you. It's a bit more twisted than twilight loving sex scene.

I haven't read the gathering.

I have read both Darkest Powers and
Darkness Rising series. I thought the second series was pretty good for a sequel.

I have also read most of her Women of the Otherworld series. Based on your reading list, I would recommend that you stay away from the Women of the Otherworld series for now. As someone else said the sex scenes might be inappropriate for you.
