Just a few thoughts and questions:
What do you think of how it starts and the book references in it?
It was the worst of times, it was the worst of times. Again. That’s the thing about things. They fall apart, always have, always will, it’s in their nature.
Do you like the shifting narratives in this book?
Are you connecting to the characters in Autumn?
Thoughts on the writing style?

Really interesting questions, Booknblues! I hope I'll be able to start reading the book in a few days. And I'll surely share my thoughts on it:)

Get to it when you can. I know that you have other things on your mind, so I thought I would leave so questions here for when you can read it.

I thought that this beginning was some kind of allusion to Autumn - how everything "falls apart" in autumn.
The shifting narratives were very confusing for me. Sometimes I even forgot who I'm reading about.
And I didn't connect to the characters of the novel. We don't know much about them, so they didn't seem very real to me or close.
I can't say the writing style is bad. Sometimes it's really poetic. But for me, it wasn't always easy to comprehend.

I'm so glad you were able to finish.
I didn't love her style, either.
What brought it forward for me were thoughts about family and what makes a family. The book I read after this one had an older man and an adolescent woman in which he acted as her father. Reading two such books made me look back on Autumn a little more fondly.
