Each book is about a different couple so they can stand alone and/or be read out of order. :) You'll just see the couples from the previous books pop up in other books as side characters.

Sorry I'm just seeing this question! As of right now, the series will be done with the next book For You & No One Else, so no current plans for Cal.

There are no plans for that right now. The next book is about Andi. Cal may be bonus short story material though. :)

Thank you! So glad you're enjoying the series. :) Currently, I'm finishing out The Ones Who Got Away series and then beginning another contemporary romance series, so I don't have plans right now to write more in the Loving on the Edge series. But I haven't closed it out officially so I won't say no, not ever. Right now, there's just not time in my writing schedule. As for the novellas, Penguin doesn't have plans to release them in print so they are ebook only. Hope that helps! Happy reading!

All of the books in their original form (albeit with different covers on some) are available in print and ebook in the U.S. For links to all those versions, you can go here http://www.roniloren/com/books That page has the book order and the links to get the books. (Just click on the book cover you're interested in on that page and it will lead you to a page with every link for the ebook and print versions of that book.) Thanks! Roni

Hi there, which book are you referring to? All the full length Loving on the Edge books and novellas are available in ebook form. The only thing that is not are a few bonus short stories that were in the back of a few of the paperbacks. Those were short stories that do not affect the storylines of the other books and are about minor side characters. They were simply bonus material for those few paperbacks. I hope that clears up any confusion! :)

The best advice I can give you is not to worry about the things you can't control. Find an idea you love and write it. You're the only person who can take that idea and write that exact story. Even if someone has a similar sounding idea, it's in the hands of a completely different writer. As for rejection, it's just part of the job. My first book published was the third I'd written. The others were rejected. Then once you're published, there are new kinds of rejection--like a publisher not renewing a contract or bad reviews or the market deciding that your genre/topic is not hot anymore. So it is an industry that requires growing some tough skin. But what's the alternative? Giving up or never trying. That's no fun either if you feel in your gut that you're a writer. Good luck!

Hi Doris, so glad you liked it! :) I have not closed out the series, but right now it's on hold while I work on The Ones Who Got Away series. I hope to get back to it, but it's just a matter of not having enough time at the moment.

Hi Andrea,
Thanks so much! I'm so happy to hear you loved the book. :) As for which of my books are similar, it depends on which aspects you're most looking for. I tend to write emotional books that are character-focused, so my other two series have those components like The Ones Who Got Away. However, those series are erotic romance so are more explicit. If you're okay with more explicit, I'd say start with Off the Clock (The Pleasure Principle series). If you're not looking for something in the erotic romance zone, I'd say the novella Nice Girls Don't Ride and the short novel Wanderlust, which are sexy contemporary romances with lots of emotion. Also, The Ones Who Got Away will be a series, so more to come with those too. :) Next book will be Rebecca's story in June (The One You Can't Forget). Hope that helps!

Thanks, Linda! So glad you enjoyed the excerpt. : ) The story idea came from watching news stories. One day (I don't remember what the event was), I found myself wondering what happens to survivors of these big national news events down the line. Like once the news fades, how do they move on and live their lives? Do they always feel labeled as a survivor or news story to the world? Is that good or bad? How does it affect their identity and how they approach life? And being a romance writer, I wanted to give people who'd been through something like that happy endings. So that's where the series idea came from. I wanted to create a group of survivors who were layered and interesting and still dealing with their past but who were also ready to move on and find their brand of love and happiness. : )

Thank you ! So glad you enjoyed it! :) The Ones Who Got Away will be a series so I just turned in book 2 to my editor. It will be Rebecca's story. I plan to write stories for each of the four friends. : )

Hi Deborah, Aww, thanks so much for the kind words! <3 I am a write by the seat of my pants writer with plot. But I do a lot of character pre-work. I have to know my characters really really well to write. So I have a stack of worksheets that I've put together from craft books I've read to develop my characters and their backstories. I do some general plot stuff because I have to give a proposal to my publisher before I write the book, but it's more like the back cover summary of a book and that leaves me a lot of wiggle room. Also, even after I've turned in that summary, it often changes completely and I have to let my editor know--oh, sorry, kind of changed the plot, lol.

Hi Tracey! Thanks so much, so glad you're enjoying the books! : ) I haven't ended the Ranch stories, so I'm open to writing more. It's just a matter of getting the right idea and finding time in my writing schedule since I have been focused on getting By the Hour (the second book in the Pleasure Principle series) out. I also have a new contemporary romance series (The Ones Who Got Away) which will start in January of next year, and I'm writing those books now. But I'll be sure to keep everyone posted through my blog and newsletter on when the next Ranch story will be!

Hi Nicky! When I first got my agent and book deal, it was 2010. Self publishing ebooks had just started to be a thing. And there was still a lot of stigma attached to it--that those self-pubbing were just the authors whose stories weren't good enough to get into New York publishers. So, honestly, it was never even a question in my mind. I wanted my books on the shelves in the bookstore. I wanted an agent advocating for me. If I was just coming into publishing now, I'm sure I would've been tempted. I don't regret my path because I believe that I would not have gotten nearly as much visibility or momentum without the things that come along with a big publisher. I'm also glad self-pub wasn't available when I wrote my first novel (Crash Into You was my third completed novel) because it was a terrible YA and I didn't know it was terrible because I was so new to it all. So thank God I didn't have the option to put that out there lol.
Having said all that, I think the market is very different today. I'll be hybrid going forward, indie publishing my erotic series and traditionally publishing a new contemporary series with Sourcebooks. So, I see benefits in both.
My advice to you? If this is your first novel, be really really sure that it's great. That means getting real critiques from people who are not your best friends, family, or spouse. Go to writing groups, join your local RWA or whichever group fits your genre. Have other writers who are further along in the path look at your work. Go to writing conferences if you can. Do that and get a reputable editor before you hit publish if you decide to go indie because like I said, my first novel was not ready for public consumption and once it's out there, it's out there. You only get to debut once. Your novel may be fantastic. It also may be what I call a "practice novel", which serves a great purpose too. Each book teaches us something. I think if you look at my first published book vs. my 10th, you'll see we're always learning and (hopefully) improving.
That's my two cents. I think both paths traditional and indie have great things to offer, but either way, the key is figuring out if the book is ready. :) Good luck!

They are all connected because the heroes and heroines are all friends, but the books can stand alone if you would prefer to jump in wherever. Each story has a different couple (or triad) and has a complete ending for that particular couple/triad.
The only exceptions are the novella Forever Starts Tonight which is a direct follow up about the characters in Melt Into You and then the Not Until You serial, which has 8 parts that make up that story. Not Until You can be bought in a complete novel now, though (the pink cover is the complete book, the silver covers are the individual parts of the serial). Hope that helps!

Samantha, Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the book. :) And yes, though there aren't any set books yet, I do plan on writing more m/m in the future. It's one of my favorite genres to read and write. I'm hoping to write another about Devon and Hunter in fact. I'll be sure to post news once I have any on that. Thanks for reading!

I know some people say writer's block isn't a real thing. It's just fear or a sign that you took a wrong turn or whatever. But even if it is one of those things, that doesn't make it any less of a block. I hit a wall with every book at some point. It used to be the middle where I'd hit the block. But Nothing Between Us, I had a huge block for the ending. My current project is giving me fits over the beginning (which is weird because beginnings are usually the easiest part for me.) So I've learned that it's part of my process and don't freak out too much. I know that I will find a solution. And I don't stop working just because I'm blocked. I come at it from a different angle or POV. I take long showers or walks to let my mind wander and figure things out. I read writing craft books--even ones I've read before--because they'll usually spark something for me. And I'll READ. That's my best tip. Often reading other people's books will kick my brain into gear again. So there are ways around it. The only thing I can't do is give up. A deadline is coming whether I'm ready or not, so I have to break the block.
