Cindy Lee Neighbors Hi Andrew,
Yes, I'm always open to reviews from readers and I'm always happy to read books from all kinds of authors (indie and trad) as time permits. You can reach me via Instagram via @cindyleeneighbors or contact me through my website submission form www.cindyleeneighbors.com if the direct messaging on Goodreads or Instagram doesn't work. It appears I've hit the limit here, indeed. It does take me a few weeks to read books from other authors as I'm in the middle of working on a few of my own projects and reading books for my own leisure and research. Thank you for considering my work.

Best,
Cindy
Cindy Lee Neighbors Hi Jalees!

I am SO sorry that I'm just now seeing your question!!! I randomly found it while preparing to upload something in my author profile!! AHHH... to be honest, I am still figuring out the ins and outs of marketing myself. I was never into social media during med school and residency. It all just felt so "icky" to me (as much as I love my selfies-lol)... but a lot of friends pushed me to do it, saying "We live online..." so I forced myself to sign up for all the social media websites (Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter...Goodreads) and just added anyone and everyone imaginable. Again, it feels icky at first, but the more you do it, it feels kind of fun and eventually you will find readers and like-minded people. Not everyone will want to read your book and that's fine! It doesn't mean you or your writing isn't good! It's just like TV, movies and music! Everyone has different tastes! Like food! we all love and like different things at different times in our lives, that's what makes life so beautiful so keep writing and putting yourself out there! There is something for everyone! Without marketing your work, nobody will know it's there! Thanks for adding me! xo
Cindy Lee Neighbors Aloha Richard,

Thank you for writing me and for your comments about your father and living in Pearl Harbor as a boy. I'm not sure if you read my memoir, but I talk about growing up in the area and serving as a surgical resident-physician at Tripler Army Medical Center.

I do believe life is full of balance..yin-yang and in order for us to appreciate all the beauty and joy in this world, we do at some point or another, have to experience all the richness of life, which unfortunately, does include suffering and tragedy... without that, we might not really be able to fully appreciate the nuances of joy. That's just my opinion. I do think there are some souls that enter this world, for whatever reason, who may not ever experience suffering or tragedy. And that may be a rare luxury, indeed.

Blessings to you and happy holidays.

Best wishes,
Cindy
