Hi, I have published my debut novel on Amazon but I am struggling with marketing. I don't have the means to invest in marketing, to be honest. So, can you guide me on how to get my book out to people? I can share my book with you if that helps.

Hi Jalees!
I am SO sorry that I'm just now seeing your question!!! I randomly found it while preparing to upload something in my author profile!! AHHH... to be honest, I am still figuring out the ins and outs of marketing myself. I was never into social media during med school and residency. It all just felt so "icky" to me (as much as I love my selfies-lol)... but a lot of friends pushed me to do it, saying "We live online..." so I forced myself to sign up for all the social media websites (Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter...Goodreads) and just added anyone and everyone imaginable. Again, it feels icky at first, but the more you do it, it feels kind of fun and eventually you will find readers and like-minded people. Not everyone will want to read your book and that's fine! It doesn't mean you or your writing isn't good! It's just like TV, movies and music! Everyone has different tastes! Like food! we all love and like different things at different times in our lives, that's what makes life so beautiful so keep writing and putting yourself out there! There is something for everyone! Without marketing your work, nobody will know it's there! Thanks for adding me! xo

Hi Cindy, I saw you requested a review for your book in the Review group. Do you still need one? And are you eligible to leave reviews on Amazon as well? I tried sending you a friend request, but it looks like you’ve hit the 5,000 friend limit. Cheers, Andrew

In order to experience joy, must there be suffering? Sorry for the off-the-wall question, but I'm doing a bit of non-scientific research on the topic with authors. By the way, my father was a Marine officer and I have fond memories of living in Pearl Harbor from 1959-1961 as a boy.
