Yesterday's BBC Radio 4 interview
I was interviewed at my home yesterday for BBC Radio 4's Analysis programme by a lovely, blue-haired lady journalist called Jo Fidgen. Our conversation was recorded by another journalist called Joe Kent. They travelled all the way from London to Oldham in order to interview me in my living room. I think I gave them what they needed for the show. Jo is in the process of making a programme on the subject of inheritance which is scheduled to be broadcast on 22.2.2016 at 20.30 and repeated on 28.2.2016 at 21.30. They wanted to interview me because I have had personal experience of being disinherited. I have written about this emotive subject and many others in my autobiography The Mug Trilogy. Disinheritance is also a strong theme in my contemporary fictional thriller Random Bullets. All six of my books are available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle editions.

I've just received my updated edition of 'A Slice of the Seventies'
Flicking through my recently redesigned and republished copy of 'A Slice of the Seventies' that the postman delivered this week. The poor man has had a busy time, as I have received newly redesigned paperbacks of all of my books through the post this week. I'm delighted with the results and it was well worth the huge amount of effort to personally redo the eight covers and update the end matter in both paperback and Kindle formats.
There's a small picture of Jimi Hendrix amidst the other cover images on 'A Slice of the Seventies'. Some might say that Hendrix is more 60s than 70s, but I saw him play live at the Isle of Wight Music Festival in the summer of 1970, a few weeks before he died at such a young age. I write about the Festival and many other things in my memoir, 'A Slice of the Seventies'. It is the first book in my loosely autobiographical Mug Trilogy. 'The Lying Scotsman' and 'Straws' are the others in the series.
The Kindle version is £0.99 on Amazon until 31st July along with all my other Kindle editions. I still prefer paperbacks and that's why I made paperback versions as well as Kindles for each of my eight books

Kindle edition of A Slice of the Seventies is FREE for today only.
Feeling nostalgic? The Kindle edition of A SLICE OF THE SEVENTIES, is FREE on Amazon today, Friday 9th September for one day only.
A Slice of the Seventies
A Slice of the Seventies is the first book in the Mug Trilogy. The Kindle edition was published on Amazon in July 2015 and the paperback version in November 2015. It tells the story of Jersey-born Mug, a troubled girl from a recently broken home. It covers her experiences as a teenager at the Isle of Wight Music Festival in 1970, the same year she follows a guru. The book tracks her tumultuous four years as an art student in Coventry, where vegetarian Mug finds herself living next to an abattoir and railway shunting yard with David, a fellow art student. Dramatic events follow on from the evening they first meet at a party where David is attempting to commit a very public suicide. Whether you were around in that decade or not, you're bound to enjoy this nostalgic Slice of the Seventies.
This loosely autobiographical book can be read without having to read the other two books in the trilogy, The Lying Scotsman and Straws. The same applies to these other two standalone books in the series. The Mug Trilogy is available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle editions, as are my other five books in various genres. Two of my books are also available as audiobooks on Audible, Amazon and iTunes. All eight Kindle versions are only £2.25 each or equivalent currency on Amazon and I keep the paperback prices as low as possible. My eight Kindles are all FREE to Kindle Unlimited subscribers.
