SPELL TIME - THE GLAMOUR OF IT ALL!
When people learn that I'm a witch they ask curiously, and at times humorously, if I cast spells and then always add - bad spells?
Although it's rare I cast a spell anymore, I have created success from lovely, non-harming spells.
Spells, like prayers and affirmation, give focus to your intentions and create a connection mentally, emotionally and physically because each has those three components. For example they all use particular words, our physical bodies are involved, spells casting the circle, lighting a candle; prayers, hands clasped, sometimes on our knees, and affirmations need paper and pen to write.
I've do not cast bad spells - okay one and a many a time, wanted to. Sometimes I did cast a turn around, banishing, or binding spell. Seldom do I do those because I believe they can have a negative backlash. Once in anger, I did invoke a banishing spell against an adversary. Ouch. Backlash. Once burned....I was warned not to do it! All in all, and in time, the spell cooled out and the ending was a good choice for both of us to part ways.
When casting a spell one understands the three-fold law of karma. The 'what goes around, comes around' way of living.
A spell is like a recipe - a little of this, a dash of that, a pinch and sprinkle. Most of all a spell is like a chant, affirmation, a prayer of sorts, more than a wish, because you are direct with belief in your ability to create.
One of my all time favorite spell books is 'Simple Spells for Success' by Barrie Dolnick and Zsuzsanna E. Budapes' 'The Grandmother of Time' spells.
I simply love the glamor spell when I'm ready to attract positive attention to my personal and professional growth.
Once you experiment with it, you don't have to do it much at all. The glow of your aura energy extends out and attracts the right energy (people, events, opportunities) to you. It's quite easy.
Sit in front of a mirror in a darkened room with a white candle. Close your eyes and go through the many colors of the rainbow and your favorites. Let them swirl around you, select one, see it around and feel it in your body, beautiful, radiant, shinning through, you glow, you shine. Open your eyes, look in the mirror and see the aura of your color all around and within you.
Go into your day. Let me know how your day(s) are after the spell.
The success of a spell is only as good as your ability to mental be clear with what you want, how focused you are, and patient too - have a willingness to wait. NEW YOU: NEW LIFE ROLE INITIATION SPELL
Throughout life there are times we take on new and different roles. Sometimes they come with a title identifying who and what we are professionally and personally.
A time of reflect in the way of a spell for those different path and new roles can give greater insights to ourselves and the journey. Below is an initiation spell to give a clarity spiritually while preparing us for the actual physical events yet to unfold.
Recently in my AMORC - Rosicrucian Order I was asked to step up to a title position Now, I'm not crazy about titles, especially ones with high praises, but I accepted the position although it means more time and work. I accepted because my life - spiritual and wordly has changed for the better from the teaching of this fellowship (it's not a religion).
Am I up for this titled role? Can I truly be of value? In my questioning I realized clearing myself of doubt and concerns will allow for greater acceptance that yes, it is time for me to raise my consciousness to higher plane and serve humanity in some positive way.
I am preparing to to sit at my altar with this initiation spell.

SPELL TO GATHER POWER FOR NEW- IT'S ONLY CHANGE.
People are always creating new possibilities new experiences, new paths.
When you step out and commitment to your change, that which you hope opens up a different or new life, other opportunities, you can come to realize you, not only are you changing mentally, but even within your entire being - as though your DNA is changing through this new experience.
A few blogs ago I shared a spell I did for my new role with my Rosicrucian Order aka AMORC group to take a different role/position. Now that I'm into it, I realized how much more dedication is needed, and how not only unwilling duties but accepting that I'm rapidly changing in many ways, thus another ritual/spell was in order.
During my year as an AMORC San Francisco's monthly group leader I had to prepare a talk for the monthly meetings and do the members' ritual. It took prep work and some time. This was all through the illness and subsequent death of my mother. It truly became a time to walk my talk spiritually. My duties and studies gave me a sense of stability and calmness - much needed to get through one of the most saddest and energy consuming times of my life - the death of my beautiful, loving mother.
In my latest book, "How to Talk With Spirits: Seances, Mediums, Ghost Hunts" I write about her long goodbye and our parting and what I learned about myself and her.
Now with my new role/position I find a different aspect of my duties - a greater focus and interaction with various members outside my SF group. I more energy and acceptance of my new role where other members, previously unknown to me are in contact. Therefore, I decided to do another spell was in order.
What I am creating now is truly a greater change. I'll say an elevated awareness of my power to influence. Kind of a more serious commitment and realizing one must be true to self if serving others kind of position. Growing in me is a confidence that comes when you know your life is on track - one you are meant to be living.
Perhaps you will think of opening to your power of whatever position you've taken on - realizing how it not only is shaping you, your life but those of others.

GATHER POWER
During a waxing (growing toward full) moon after sunset, light a yellow candle.
Place yellow flowers in a vase with water. Place fresh ginger root next to the flowers. You might want to light incense and/or add a crystal or bowl of water (for visions).
For as long as you wish sit quietly and reflect upon the beauty before you, flickering candle, breathe, relax, enjoy.
Now think of, and connect to, your personal spiritual guardian be that an angel, guide, a loved one in spirit or a living sage/teacher who champions your progress. This could be God, All Intelligence, Buddha, Goddess, Allah. When you have decided, call upon your spiritual guardian to join you as you prepare for life changes and new experiences.
Say Aloud:
I cleanse my sacred space through my ability to call in only positive and helpful spiritual guides and teachers.
I am safe.
I call in the elements of air, fire, water and earthto support my visions yet to manifest.
I join with the power of the universe to expand and enhance my connection to that which has always been and will always be.
In the Universal flow and energy.
I open to my power in all forms within all possibilities.
I step forward bravely to fulfill known and unknown karma, willingly release old karma and identities that no longer serve my spiritual advancement. Create new karma through my new understanding of purpose and path.
With the greater good, I ask that this be done.
So Mote it Be.
And so it is.
Let the candle burn as long as you like. Dispose of the ginger root on the full moon in the earth.

PROTECT YOURSELF BEFORE PSYCHIC INTERACTION
You know when you get that “kick in the pants” reminder?
Well, I got mine good and hard when I didn’t take time to protect my mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and psychic energy before embarking on a ghost tour.
Last blog I said I’d share self-protection spell if asked; someone asked.
I had planned to write it while on holiday. Too bad, said the hands of fate, all good plans of mice and men go awry.
My first day at a lovely, quiet place I learned family and friends’ lives and homes were threatened by a raging Northern California fire (worst in the states’ history). In the midst of contacting family an offer to teach a workshop set for early November and I had to send a proposal immediately. Internet connection was down.
Rather than come home refreshed I was mentally and emotionally drained from worry and planning for the workshop.
To top it off I was part of The Haunted Bay’s San Francisco Ghost Tour going back to a place I had previously investigated (see link below). This time I was punched in the head and pushed by an unseen entity. “Oh no! This doesn’t happen to me!”
Then why did it? Worn done mentally and emotionally, I did a brief protection ritual without much focus.
Funny how fate will slap you with one hand while with the other offers redemption.
The next day at my “Wellness” class the teacher went through self-protection techniques, some I’ve forgot and another learned.

Before and after interacting with others in spirit, ghostly, and healing way, or at any potentially unpleasant meeting, cleanse your energy.
Mentally clear your space before channeling and receiving psychic information. You can pray, chant and/or sing - all raises positive vibrations in and around you
Imagine sitting in a clear white bubble. It can also be a pastel blue or pink.
Smudge with a smudge stick or encircle yourself with incense if you wish.Ground yourself by visualizing your feet (or go outside and stand barefoot on the earth) standing firmly connected to the earth. Say, I am safe.
Using water to clean more than the body: Cup the water and let it dribble up your arms as you move to the crown of your head, now wipe down your arms and out through your fingertips, flicking off as though riding yourself of all negative thoughts and feelings.
Protection Spell
Sit in a quiet space with a white candle lit and incense and flowers if you wish. You might add a crystal and/or a serene image. Enjoy the beauty of that space. Pay attention to your breath, regular breathing, in and out, calming and easy. Do this for about five to ten minutes or longer.Then visualize a safe space, a circle of light colored energy surrounding you.
Say aloud:
Only good can enter herein.
Call in the Divine One whom you connect to: guardian, angel, guide, God, Jesus, Goddess, Buddha, or Allah - you chose:I call in _______ to be with me.
Together we create energy to empower my spirit and protect me from all that can potentially harm me.
I do this with confidence and pureness of intention with harm to none and only for the greater good.
I wear this shield of protection whenever needed.
So Mote it Be. Therefore it is.
Sit for as long as you like enjoying the positive energy around you. Snuff out your candle before leaving.

Spell to Claim Your Uniqueness:
Do this spell during a waxing moon, which is considered to be when we 'grow things' - getting brighter and closer to the full moon of celebration.
A few things about casting spells; harm to none, don't do spells that harm others, let karma take care of that; don't look back - don't focus on the spell, let things happen; things will come up that can be uncomfortable or even a big bummer that's because in order to fulfill we have to clean away the outworn, outdated, useless acts and thoughts keeping us from getting.
Got it?
Your altar has a larger than other candles, a white one, add another candle of your favorite color, a flower in water, and an object near and dear to you as well as a photo or drawing or image of you, a happy time. Burn incense if you wish
Enjoy your altar. Sit quietly, breathe, relax, image yourself sitting in the sun, feel the light, feel the warmth and now say aloud:

I see clearly my unique self
(whatever that is)
I see my strengths, my passion(enjoy this image, feel the power return to your whole being)
I am part of the Universal flow,
The power of the Cosmic energy

When you are ready snuff out your candle. Keep your flower, dry it out if you can and in the full moon time, light your candles and enjoy the changes and clarity received from this spell.

Tis the greening time of the year. Renew, new, growth, coming into the sunlight once again after the long winter time. March is an excellent time to cast a money spell. Just look around you- nature renewal, growth - green. Your money tree is ready for the plucking.
A money spell is much more than just the paper bill. It is about prosperity - abundance of a good life.
Before you do any spell THINK.
Answer the questions below before casting the spell. Your answers will clear up any doubtful or negative thoughts and you enter the spell fully believing.
What do you need the money for?
Why?
How will you benefit?
How will your life be different?
How will others benefit from your abundance?
Money is an extension of our hopes, dreams, and emotional needs and fears - I just never seem to have enough one might think.
What old messages about money can be keeping you from having it?

Be realistic.
Make a list of what you need money for. Come up with a reasonable amount. Not "just enough" but a bit more just in case.
Think about prosperity. What does it mean to you?
Do you want to prospers in money, love, health, and/or your career?
Prepare yourself to receive by being clear, realistic, and knowing what you are willing to do to manifestation of your goal.
Don't just sit back after the spell and wait, and wait.
Take action to clear your path, forward your money goal.
Doing this will help to bring success to your spell.
March Madness Money Spell by Me
Set you magic space. Place a white cloth on your altar.
Place a white candle (purity of mind and intention); a green candle (can use 4 for Earth's 4 corners and elements: air, fire, water, earth).
Write 3x the amount on the white candle and 3x your name on the green candle(s).
Incense. Sage is always good, rose is enticing, orange blossom cleans the energy.
Add a living plant with budding flowers or red and white or pink roses.
Place on the altar your riches; a piece of jewelry, something gold.
If you want create a power bundle with a green cloth, placing your jewerly, gold, magical objects inside, wrap it and tie with gold sparkling ribbon. Add gold dust - glitter to it if you wish.
Place on your altar.
When: a waxing moon (growing toward a full moon) or a new moon (new adventures) when the sun has set do your spell.
Lite your candles and incense. Sit for a moment, quiet time, visions your money goal as clearly as you can.
Say Aloud:
Green, green all around
abundance abound.
Green grass glistens
Universe energy listens
My money tree grows
Clear mind knows
money for my need
sprouts many a seed.
Money that is mine
Manifest at this time
Bless me with wealth
and good health
Willingly shared with others
For the greater good of all.
So Mote it Be.
Snuff - don't blow - out your candle.
Leave your altar in the full glory for at least a week.
If need be after a couple of weeks, do again.
Remember when doing spells often time that which stands in your way for success raises its head.
You will have to work on that.
I suggest also doing a 21 day affirmation - don't miss a day.
Write it daily as least 3x and say aloud 3x.

MONEY SPELL'
Tis the greening time of the year. Renew, new, growth, coming into the sunlight once again after the long winter time. March is an excellent time to cast a money spell. Just look around you- nature renewal, growth - green. Your money tree is ready for the plucking.
A money spell is much more than just the paper bill. It is about prosperity - abundance of a good life.
Before you do any spell THINK.
Answer the questions below before casting the spell. Your answers will clear up any doubtful or negative thoughts and you enter the spell fully believing.
What do you need the money for?
Why?
How will you benefit?
How will your life be different?
How will others benefit from your abundance?
