Two new novels are in the works:

One is the direct sequel to The Darkest Night called Authors of the Forgotten. It follows Zackery and the crew of the Ceisiwr Seren as they have to deal with problems growing on the other side of Gillian space.

The second is called Carthago Delenda Est. A sci-fi heist story centered around ideas of patriotism, imperialism, and religious fanaticism set on the habitable gas giant of New Carthage. The Latin title translates to Carthage must be destroyed.(less)

Sali-Mandu (the main antagonist), those who've read the novel will be surprised to hear, was created after even the outlining process. Originally the villain was going to simply be the mystery of Erebus and the Yekkelle. But Sali-Mandu soon became a core part of the book and I think you'll agree he is a welcome addition.(less)

Carthago Delenda Est by Jesse R Page
“The syndicate is not something to trifle with casually. I do not know who you are and where you come from Mr. Bond, but the Blood Diamond is deservedly named. Do you know how it got its name? It is cursed. Any man that possesses it is doomed to die a horrible and violent death.”

Jesse Page shared a quote
Carthago Delenda Est by Jesse R Page
“But one man’s cage is another man’s shield. Solace was founded to prevent the expansion of radical Islam. There has not been a case of Jihad in over two hundred years until a few years ago. Do you intend to tell me that we must sacrifice all we have built?”

“Birds danced in an emerald sky.”
Jesse R Page, The Darkest Night

“Of all the presidents, in all the empires, why does the one I accidentally knock unconscious have to weigh four hundred pounds?”
Jesse R Page, Carthago Delenda Est: The Last Curse

“Carthago servanda est, senator, and everything else be damned? Is that the motto now? Even the wrath of Cato was never so bold and blind.”

“Birds danced in an emerald sky.”
Jesse R Page, The Darkest Night

“That is the problem of extreme action, Duvain. Resistance to tyranny, even perceived tyranny is like water. The harder you push, the harder it is to drain. It is like an army whipping the sea. It means nothing.”
Jesse R Page, Carthago Delenda Est: The Last Curse

“Every belief can be logically adhered too if the original belief is deemed logical. But they all rest on certain pillars. Remove one and the entire structure falls. If you can prove that Christ never rose from the tomb, then Christianity is false. If you can prove that the universe was created with an intelligent design, then Atheisim would be ridiculous. If you can show that Mohammad was not a true prophet, then Islam will falter and fall. There have been millions who have convinced themselves they’ve done so over the years, but still all religions remain, or the lack thereof, because one must be true.”
Jesse R Page, Carthago Delenda Est: The Last Curse

“Hauntingly beautiful, isn’t it? No, your good eye is not deceiving you in the slightest. Solace is on fire. Your friends, unintentionally perhaps, played a role in its final destruction. Two thousand people dead. A bit of an over-reaction, perhaps. But I follow orders. No, you are not here to quip and spar with me, priest. This is one of those times you simply listen. It is a time we all wait and simply listen. People forget to do that… until it is too late. I wonder if they deserved it? We cast a whole continent under swift judgment, under the accusation of tyrants and champions of hatred. Truthfully, they were, but I wonder… What have we become? The Crimson Syndicate means many things to many people, the priests you served with, all those Atrixi you ministered to, they are all dead now. They thought it stood for tyranny and slavery. Perhaps now we do. Once though, once we stood for honor. Honor must be restored priest. I have been many things in my life. I have killed, I will even become wraith, for I will say I know not how you escaped. But I always found my way in the end. So will you.”
Jesse R Page, Carthago Delenda Est: The Last Curse

“Solace was a desert, but it is… was… a garden. Men, even the craziest of ones, have a form of logic to them. It may not seem to make sense to us, but you cannot so easily ignore them, Ular. Everyone is the hero in their own story, or so they believe.”
