Java Junkie
The wine of the all night Gods and Goddesses! I drink so much of the stuff, certainly there would be a fresh, robust stream of continual java from my veins if one were to slit my wrist. I'm sorry. I don't mean for my wordplay to mimic morbid tendencies. You see, I've yet to have my morning cup. That FIRST morning cup will have evolved into at least 3 cups by noon. By the time the children arrive from school, I'll have had another. Awaiting dinner is cause for another celebratory cup! After my shower, while I listen to the children settle in after a long day. While I read, in between editing and writing and quilting. I know what you're thinking, "I Drink Waaaay Too Much Coffee" There is usually a cup in hand as I, myself settle in, somewhere around 2 a.m'ish. My last thoughts as I close my eyes are of my next cup in the next 4 hours. I'm gonna need it to jump start my day. Cheers & Salud to all you Java Junkies.

I Read & Review
I read & review. You reap the reward of some much deserved recognition.
I would like to invite you to check out Hidden Gems http://freedomink365.com/hidden_gems . I am ALWAYS searching for the next Hidden Gems Featured Author. For less than $20.00, I will read your book. Review it (Amazon, Facebook, Goodreads, Twitter...). Promote it by posting the book's information at my Professional site (for a full month) and at least a dozen status updates in reference to your title via social media. If you are interested, I require an author biography (w/headshot), an image of your book's front cover, a copy of your book, preferably a physical copy (so that I may read and review) and the links where your book can be purchased at. Please also provide your email as well as Facebook/Twitter contacts. I know it's not easy to exist in a career that most see as a solitary one. I hope that you take this invitation into consideration. If you would like a reference, I would be more than glad to put you in contact with Yolanda McKinnon, 'Why Is The Moon Following Me', Tonya Goring, 'Meet Desiree', Mellie Miller, 'Gambler's Folly', Jan Sikes, 'Flowers and Stone'.
I look forward to your response.

Five Books That Altered My Perception. Part 1. Tiger Eyes by Judy Blume
Book 1 is one of the earliest books I can recall having an impact on the way I felt! Tiger Eyes by Judy Blume, a 1981 young adult novel. The story is about a girl who's father is killed. Her mother decides it's best to relocate the family for a while. Everyone must come to terms with the cruelties of life and each must decide if they can trust to live again. The original version of the book included a scene where Davey 'Tiger' masturbated while thinking of 'Wolf', a local boy in the new town. The scene was edited out of the final published book due to the young readership. Due to the un-sugarcoated nature of the book's content, 'Tiger Eyes' was placed on the 100 most frequently challenged list 1990-1999 {See more http://www.ala.org/bbooks/100-most-fr...}. This is not the only book of Judy Blume's to make the list. Hmmmm. How peculiar (I feel myself slipping into research mode and another blog post coming on). 'Tiger Eyes' is an awesome coming of age story. It's the perfect reminder to those young and old that sh!t happens. You can lie down with the dieing or you can get busy living!

Life Is Just Awful. Ain't It?
Life is awful. Dealing bad hands. Getting the short end of the stick. Hardships. Strife. Cup half empty syndrome. Pessimistic happenings. Reoccurring nightmares parading as 'just another bad dream'. D
Life is awful. Dealing bad hands. Getting the short end of the stick. Hardships. Strife. Cup half empty syndrome. Pessimistic happenings. Reoccurring nightmares parading as 'just another bad dream'. Darkness is the absence of light. Darkness cannot exist without light. Life is amazing. We learn to make lemonade from the bitter fruit the tree of life sometimes bears. We make do with the hand we're dealt. We cope. We survive. The cup is always, always half full. Optimism is a state of mind. Bad dreams are just a figment of our imaginations. Light is the substance of life, therefore I write.
