It's day 2 of my 3 Day Hiatus. And I must admit, this day is no better than the last. Loritabs have ceased to ebb my my agonizing pain (darn you Eve), so i've committed myself to drinking coffee every hour on the hour. It seems to be working thus far. All is well as long as I don't run out of java.

*Caffeine is a great pain reducer, but beware it is also a stimulant which is catogorized as... dare I say it... a drug! But relax, nobody's planning a trip to Columbia*

And with that I retreat with my umpteenth cup for the day...............

A few months ago I went on this diet binge, forcing everyone in our home to ride this roller coaster with me. Cutting back on the salt and sodium in seasonings, counting calories before placing items in the grocery cart and again collectively at meal times. This was only the tip of the diet iceberg. In my stint I purchased a box of substitute sweetner. Truvia, and truly in my opinion it's substitute to chalk. A slight aftertaste and no likeness to sugar whatsoever. I pushed it behind the bags of sugar that reside in the overhead cabinets. Then the resurrection of the unlikely beast. Upon fixing my morning coffee, hoping today's start is better than my last nights ending... low and behold Truvia staring at me from the cupboards. NO SUGAR! So i'm forced to stir in a few packs, and i'm forced to swallow the semi-bitter coffee. This has turned out to be a not so sweet g'morning =(

The wine of the all night Gods and Goddesses! I drink so much of the stuff, certainly there would be a fresh, robust stream of continual java from my veins if one were to slit my wrist. I'm sorry. I don't mean for my wordplay to mimic morbid tendencies. You see, I've yet to have my morning cup. That FIRST morning cup will have evolved into at least 3 cups by noon. By the time the children arrive from school, I'll have had another. Awaiting dinner is cause for another celebratory cup! After my shower, while I listen to the children settle in after a long day. While I read, in between editing and writing and quilting. I know what you're thinking, "I Drink Waaaay Too Much Coffee" There is usually a cup in hand as I, myself settle in, somewhere around 2 a.m'ish. My last thoughts as I close my eyes are of my next cup in the next 4 hours. I'm gonna need it to jump start my day. Cheers & Salud to all you Java Junkies.
