The Undercover Duke is here!!

Hi everyone! What a crazy few months it’s been. I’ve been traveling all over the place, writing like crazy and today I have a new book out! The Undercover Duke is a historical romance with a duke who is a spy and a heroine who is a healer. There are all kinds of secrets between them and a whole lot of danger lurking around every corner. Plus, some old friends. It’s the sixth in my 1797 Club series, but can be read standalone. Here is a quick description:

Lucas Vincent may be the Duke of Willowby but he’s never acted as such. He’s been too busy working for the War Department as a spy. But years of dangerous work has finally caught up to him and he was involved in a violent attack that nearly killed him. Forced home, his angry, aggressive desire to get back in the field and find out to who betrayed him is keeping him from healing.

Diana Oakford was raised by a physician who served the King’s War Department and she knows better than most the dangers that job entails. She was also trained in healing, so when she’s asked to come and assist with Lucas’s recovery she has a hard time refusing.

Once they’re alone together an unexpected connection begins to grow between these two people who have fought their emotions all their lives and more begins to heal than just Lucas’s broken body. But just when they start to believe they could find some kind of happiness, the past rears its ugly head and Lucas will have to choose between the life he once led and the woman who has changed his world.

The Duke of Hearts is Out!

Hi everyone! Have you seen or listened to the soundtrack for the amazing Broadway musical Hamilton? There’s a song in the show called “Nonstop” and the line is, “Why do you write like you’re running out of time, write day and night like you’re running out of time?” Well, there’s a reason I sing along loudly to the song. It seems like I’m also Nonstop (you could do worse than have something in common with Alexander Hamilton).

It’s been a busy first half of the year thus far! I recently finished the first draft of the 9th book in the 1797 Club series and I’ll be starting the LAST book of that series next week! I’m excited and sad to see my dukes come to an end. Of course, we’re a long way from that. In fact TODAY the 7th book in the series is out! The Duke of Hearts is Matthew’s story and I know a lot of you have wondered about him and how he’ll get over the fiancée he tragically lost! Here is a quick description:

Matthew Cornwallis, Duke of Tyndale, once loved a woman, but she died in a tragic accident he felt responsible for. Since then, he’s been playing pretend that he isn’t broken inside, even as he’s seen as London’s most sought after bachelor. He decides to drown his sorrows at the notorious Donville Masquerade where he encounters an alluring stranger who he spends the night with.

Mrs. Isabel Hayes was married once to a man who did not inspire passion and she’s been curious ever since. She has no intention of taking a lover at the Donville Masquerade, but to watch the activities there, just as she has been for weeks. But once the masked stranger pursues her, she is swept away.

Soon Isabel recognizes her lover for who he really is and realizes a terrible truth. She is the cousin of the woman he once loved and lost, and her family blames him for what happened. Driven by the passion they’ve shared, but also repelled by the stories she’s heard, Isabel continues the affair, trying to find the truth. But once Matthew realizes her identity, will he pursue her for what they’ve built, or only because she reminds him of what he lost? And will he survive to share a life with her at all?
