One mystery in my personal life would be...my husband had a great uncle who was found walking alongside a railroad track in the middle of a deep forest. The child wore only a diaper and was determined to be younger than three. The family took him in while police searched for family. No one claimed him.
It's a good mystery. He grew up and became a hard worker and good family man. The mystery of who he was or where he came from never solved.(less)

Honestly could not continue to read this after I got half way through and it was still as bad as it was at the beginning. The constant "telling" and passive voice and characters using unnessecary dialogue. "Hello, Gary." "Hello, Cindy." "How are you ...more

I've followed Flora's journey through several of Gardner's novels. I liked this one because she is helping D.D. Warren find out who is the guy her kidnapper met in a bar not living under his real name, and why he is murdered. The story is full of act ...more

It's been a while since I read a Richard Jury novel. This one didn't disappoint. Characters are murdered we have only just been introduced to, though Jury has met the man before and liked him. The story of the street-wise kids who have helped policed ...more
