A Complicated Exchange

A Complicated Exchange by Jessica Huwae is the story of a young couple who are establishing the parameters of their first sexual encounter.

'So?'

'Can we go later? There's still a lot of people here.'

'We don't know anyone here, anyway.'

'I'd rather not. You never know.'

'Didn't I tell you we should've gone back to my place?'

'And then what should I say to the people who live at your place?'

'Whatever, we'll tell them you're a friend, who's coming for a visit.'

'No.'

'Or some other place quieter than this?'

'No way. Temptations are everywhere. I'd rather not take the risk.'

'Coward.'

'Fine. You're worse than me. '

'How am I worse than you?'

'Why now?'

'You know why now.'

'It's complicated.'

'You're giving me mixed signals.'

'I'm a woman, not a torch. I shouldn't be the light at the end of your tunnel. Learn to read the signs. Do I have to tell you everything?'

'Are you mad at me?'

'Sorry.'

'You're cute when you pout.'

'I know.'

'Especially, when you pull your bottom lip down like that. Sexy.'
