Honesty. August 31
"Use your best judgement. Let your heart decide what to do."
That's what my colleague told me at work one day.
I work in Marketing and I had booked a woman up for a tour of the resort only to find out later that she wasn't qualified though she had already put down the deposit to reserve her session date.
I work off commission, so I knew that if I let her know of the disqualification, I would lose out on my commission bonus. But I know I needed to do the right thing.
So I quickly contacted the woman to discuss the qualifications and gave her back her deposit money.
I was watching the Robin Williams movie, Man of the Year, and spoiler alert for those who haven't seen the movie...Robin Williams' character get elected as President only to find out there was an glitch in the system.
Now he was faced with a dilemma of his own. Does he keep the information of the glitch to himself and remain President or does he reveal the truth...that he wasn't supposed to be elected and to give the chair of office to the man who does deserve it?
Aren't we always faced with a moral question? This moment comes at us all the time. A grey area.
Let's rely on our True North, the Holy Spirit's leading, to guide us into the truth of the matter so we can make an honest decision.
And let's do the right thing. Even when no one is looking so we can be well-presented as a good Witness and follower of Jesus Christ! We want our God to look down on us and applaud with joy as we choose to do the right thing on every decision that comes our way.
If you need prayer for anything, let me know! I would love to pray for you!
