What books are on your summer reading list this year?

Mark Haskell Smith I'm looking forward to reading Janelle Brown's new book, Watch Me Disappear; Elif Batuman's The Idiot; and Woman #17 by Edan Lepucki. And I'm going to read more of Mario Vargas Llosa's books (because I'm going to Peru in the fall). Those are the fiction titles so far. I don't know what nonfiction I'll read yet, but at least one or two.

I read often, yet rarely LOL while holding a book. Baked gave many LOLs, so thank you. Jackie Collins gave me fantastic hours of reads. I finished all her works in about a year. I can't wait to read every book of yours. Yay?

I just finished Naked at Lunch. Honestly, one of the best books I've read in years. Maybe because I am so in touch with the subject matter. To wit: how do I get my wife to 1) read the book, and 2) possibly become my research assistant? Pressure is not the answer: we just retired in 2019 and she is an ex-commercial real estate lawyer. But I saw some similarities in your wife & mine. Most importantly, thank you!
