Just write. Honestly, it does not matter what you write, just keep your fingers typing or your pen moving. Write whatever comes to mind, whether it be a letter to someone that you will never send, or a personal fantasy that you will never publish. Get in the habit of writing something every day.
Once you have something written (and this is the hardest part for me), let somebody else read it. It is hard to let go, to trust that it is good enough, but you have to start somewhere . . . and it is usually not as bad as you fear. Whether the feedback you get is in the form of editorial critique or just feel-good praise, it all helps.
