First let me say I love your books I just got the Alice Network this week. I love your books on Rome. How much research do you do for each book. Do you have the second in mind when you are writing the first or does their stories spillover?

Kate Quinn Thanks! I'm so glad you've enjoyed my Rome books. I wouldn't say the research ever exactly stops; there's a certain deep-dive period where I'm reading everything I can get my hands on to prep for a new book, but even as I write I keep reading and researching. Sometimes I do know what book is coming next, especially if they are somewhat connected as in the Rome series. At other times, I have some ideas but I don't know yet what will win out inspiration-wise. I'm pretty sure "The Alice Network" was already finished and in the editing phase before I decided for good on the next book idea.

Hi Kate, I love your Daughters of Rome series and was super sad to learn it is over - it was like watching a tv series you didn't want to end. My thanks for writing these gems. My question is this, with such strong female characters that you craft, have you ever considered telling a story about the Amazons in Ancient Greece or the women who fought alongside their men in Genghis Khan's Mongolia?
